This listing is for the parts from the revolver in the photos. FFL is not required for the parts, but we’ll be glad to throw in the frame if a person wants it, at no charge. Only thing, an FFL is required for the frame. We offer a 7 day money back on its parts, but no refund on the whole gun. Kimel Industries of Matthews, NC, functioned as importer, manufacturer, and distributor from the late 1960s until the mid 1990s. We did a fair amount of business with them during that period. Here, from a New England collection, is one of Kimel’s Revolvers. Frame marking reads Kimel Industries Matthews N.C., Model 5000. Named model from our records was The Guardian. From its G prefix 30000 range serial number, it was manufactured in 1974 or thereabouts. Type is traditional double and single action revolver, hammer fired against floating firing pin, with internal transfer bar safety device that prevents the hammer from contacting the firing pin unless the trigger is fully depressed. Construction is steel barrel, cylinder assembly, hammer, trigger, and internal parts mounted into a Kimel proprietary two piece frame assembly with alloy cylinder yoke. Steel parts are Spanish, supplied by Astra Unceta y Cia. of Guernica, Spain. Barrel is 2 1/8 inch one piece steel, six groove 1:16 right hand rifling. Missing front sight was Phillips Screw on serrated blade alloy front, with frame integral fixed notch rear. Chambering is 7 rounds of .32 Smith & Wesson or .32 S&W Long caliber ammunition in a steel cylinder. Trigger is smooth faced .245 white steel, with matching serrated spur hammer. Grips are one piece hard polymer with checkered laterals, that attach to a stem type grip mount. Finish was originally blued steel and black anodized. Steel barrel, cylinder, and rod have some original bluing, but now mostly brown and gray as the photos show. Cylinder assembly, complete with yoke and yoke screw $49.00. Hammer $29.00. Trigger $29.00. Barrel $29.00. Grips $39.00. Cylinder stop is not salvageable, but the hand appears good, we will include the hand if a person wants the trigger and hammer both. Note that the hand lugs are strong on the cylinder’s ejector face. Grips have extensive scouring and rust residue on their screw, but no cracks. We estimate this revolver has been fired fewer than 100 times, all with standard velocity ammunition. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright and clean. We’re offering the Kimel 5000 Guardian parts in the photos as itemized above, or just own the whole gun for only $ 69.00. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
