We lack expertise in dating bayonets. This one, however, is marked US M 4 Imperial on its pommel, and its sheath is marked B.M. Co, Beckwith Manufacturing Company of South Boston, Massachusetts, marked U.S. M8 A1. The sheath is Korean War or WWII Correct for its composition, and the thermoplastic layering shows through the sheath. Blade has been ground, as the photos show, but it is still 85-90 percent original width, and in many cases the soldiers themselves ground their own bayonets.
