VERY EARLY 3-screw, 4-digit serial number Ruger Super Blackhawk .44 magnum/.44 Special, with non-flat top receiver, manufactured in the 1960. According to one source, only 3850 of these were shipped in mahogany presentation cases; however, another source stated that Ruger told him that 4200 of them were shipped. This factory original mahogany case, with red lining material, is in very good condition; however, at the bottom right corner of the case's top, there is a fairly-small indentation approximately 1/4" long and about 1/16" deep; cases, alone, sell for $300 or more. 7 1/2" barrel. Walnut grips. 6-shot. Gun unfired since left factory, so cylinder has not been turned (no cylinder ring). Grooved, wide trigger. Serrated hammer spur. Steel ejection rod housing and grip frame. Serrated ramp front sight; rear sight is adjustable for elevation and windage. Metal finish is, overall, in as-new condition EXCEPT for the following 2 flaws, as shown in the photos: 1) there is light rust pitting on the right, upper side of the grip frame, where grips join frame...the rust has been cleaned off with no damage to surrounding bluing; and, 2) there is an elongated, orange-colored blemish on the right side of the frame, to the left of the edge of the loading gate opening. Factory original instructions/parts list manual included. Has not been converted to the later Ruger transfer bar safety system, so there are 3 hammer cock positions. Appears to have the more rare long grip frame. Serial number: 3117.
NOTE: Reason for "No Return" policy is because gun is as described in the ad and as shown in photos.
