Description:
Remington US Model 1903-A3, manufactured January 1943, serial number 33593xx. Remington 4-groove barrel dated Dec 1942. All marked parts are Remington. No import marks.

The rifle has been disassembled, examined, cleaned and lubricated. Parts were clean for photos, coated with oil and greased where appropriate when reassembled. All parts are detailed below and shown in pictures.
Part Details:
-Receiver: January 1943, excellent condition, absolutely no pitting. Finish appears original (although we can’t prove that) and is in excellent condition, worn only where the bolt slides. Has the green color associated with long term storage in cosmolene.
-Barrel: marked “RA 12-42” with flaming bomb/proof punch mark, also proof mark “P”. Greenish parkerized finish in excellent condition. 4-groove rifling. Bore is bright, good riflings, crown excellent. ME = 1, TE = 3
-Trigger guard: 1903A3 type, marked “R”. Shows some finish wear and some pitting on the sides, not visible when assembled
-Follower: 1903A3 type, marked “R”
-Follower spring: marked “R”
-Stacking swivel: marked “R”
-Barrel band: swivel marked “R”
-Barrel band spring: stamped 1903A3 type, marked “R”
-Bayonet lug: marked “R”
-Handguard ring: marked “R”
-Buttplate: small Remington checkering pattern, very good condition
-Trigger: smooth 1903 type, marked “R”
-Sear: marked “R”
-Bolt: marked “R” under handle, parkerized with large gas port
-Bolt sleeve: blued, marked “R”
-Extractor collar: A3 stamped type, marked “R”
-Safety: READY and SAFE in block letters, marked “R” on edge
-Striker: marked “R”
-Firing pin: marked “R”, blued
-Extractor: appears to be black oxide, no gas port, marked “R”
-Ejector: marked “R”
-Magazine cutoff: marked “R” on sleeve, ON/OFF in serif lettering
-Rear sight: ramp marked “R”, blued, base blued and marked “R”
-Front sight: base and blade unmarked
-Stock: straight, walnut, Remington, has 7/16” circled “P” behind trigger guard, also marked “77” in the same area, “FJA” with crossed cannons on the left side, the usual assembly marks in front of the trigger guard. Two recoil bolts, no cracks, significant number of dings/scratches, but serviceable
-Handguard: walnut, good color match to stock, dinged up but no cracks
-Rear sling swivel: marked “R”
Canvas sling is included.
