Description: This variant of the seldom seen Charter Arms Police Bulldog is the 73860 light barrel, similar to the classic Smith & Wesson models 10 and 12 Pencil Barrel revolver. Weighing in at only 23.5 ounces, this Charter Arms Police Bulldog exhibits a striking similarity to the long-discontinued Smith & Wesson Model 12, and the model 12 only weighs 2 ounces less than this one. The Charter’s frame is slightly smaller, and this one weighs in at only 21 7/8 ounces empty. A Charter Bulldog’s owner can feed it a diet of +P .38 Special without fear of damaging it. The Charter’s main frame, the cylinder housing part of the frame is high grade stainless steel. The Charter’s lightness comes from its alloy grip frame. Many customers are ill advised in choosing two inch barrel revolvers anyway; after all, the marksman needs to hit the target, and that task is much more easily done with a 4 inch than with a 2 inch barrel. Sights are conventional ramp and semi-partridge front sight with fixed notch rear sight. We have the good fortune to acquire only one these fine revolvers recently on a trade. Charter Arms sadly discontinued these last year. Fired brass in the photo specimen is dated from November of 2007, and it is in its original box with all its papers. Its only surface detractions are some faint scouring on its muzzle edges, one similar small place on the trigger guard, and light cylinder rotation marking. We rate it as Excellent, since 90 to 95 percent of its original Satin Stainless finish is intact by our estimate; photos, however, should suffice for interested parties to judge finish grade for themselves. It is excellent mechanically. Bore, cylinder chambers, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. Double action trigger pull is very smooth, and the hammer travels an additional 15 degrees after the cylinder times on all six positions in double action. On single action, the hammer travels a full 35 degrees after the cylinder times, and the single action trigger pull is a tight 5 3/8 pounds with moderate creep. Classification, of course, is double- and single-action revolver with internal transfer bar safety to guard against accidental discharge if the weapon is dropped or bumped. This is a delightful, lightweight medium sized revolver, about as close as any of us will ever come to owning a Model 12 Smith & Wesson. Own it for only $ 289.95 Not transferable to civilians in California, D.C., or Massachusetts. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Handguns: $10 flat fee lower 48 states; $30 to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico, USPS Priority Mail, insured with Delivery Confirmation. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
