Here is such apparatus’s ancestor, the venerable Weaver Kwik-Point reflex red dot sight from the 1960s, mounted atop a special edition High Standard 20 gauge Magnum auto, a model 131 marketed under the Kroydon trademark from Hampden, Connecticut. Our old head admirers of the Kwik-Point readily point out that it does exactly what all the currently marketed holograph, red dot, and reflex sights do without the possibility of a battery failure since it does not require batteries. The Kwik Point is securely mounted on the shotgun’s steel receiver. The Kwik Point itself only shows wear on its upper sharp edges and on the edge of its base. We rate this Kwik Point red dot sight system as Excellent, since no more than 10 percent of its surfaces are affected by edge whitening.
