Description: Manufactured by free Czechs in 1992, this fine Czech-Made CZ-83 pistol served and protected the good citizens of the Czech Republic, as they prospered in their newly won freedom of the early 1990s. Domiciled agency was the distinguished Municipal Police of Ostrava. CZ firearms, of course, has many decades of manufacturing experience and expertise, and they are among the best firearms in the world; they take no back seat in quality to any Belgian, German, Italian, or even American made firearms. This is CZ’s midsized service or personal protection pistol, the CZ 83, chambered in .32 ACP, labeled 7.65 among our European allies. As European Police Officers have long known, the .32 ACP / 7.65 has superior penetration qualities above all other short-case centerfire pistol calibers. Construction is entirely blue steel; type is traditional double- and single-action semi-auto; 3 3/4 inch Hammer Forged barrel with conventional rifling; weight empty 26.8 ounces; an original 1992 production factory CZ issue magazine, capacity 15 + 1 rounds of .32 ACP ammunition; 3 dot sights with heat-dissipating serrated slide top rib and 5 inch sight radius; maximum height 4.90 inches measured from the top of the rear sight to the floorplate of an in-battery magazine; slide thickness .867 inches; maximum thickness of the glossy polymer service grips 1.38 inches; .397 serrated spur blue steel hammer; .390 smooth face combat steel trigger; extreme overall length 6 11/16 inches. The fully serrated steel ambidextrous safety is elegantly simple; it does not decock, rather, it allows the officer to carry cocked and locked on a single action mode. Double action pull for the first shot is smooth and consistent, and 5/8 inch trigger distance, with shorter distance of 3/8 inch on single action. The extended trigger guard that allows firing with gloved hands also forms the basis for Walther-type simple disassembly; ambidextrous main safety that allows cocked-and-locked carry is fully serrated. Magazine release is ambidextrous, similar to Ruger P-85/95 pistols. PW Arms, Redmond, WA import marks are on the left side of the slide right beside the CZ factory logo and model designation, middle left side, as the photos show. Surface wear to this CZ-83 is only moderate, with edge whitening and moderate palm contact browning on the front strap of the grip frame, with faint scouring to the glossy polymer grip panels and faint dulling to their checkering. We rate it as Very Good, since no more than 20 percent of its surfaces are affected by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. It is excellent mechanically; bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. It is in original Department Issue CZ box. Magazines are currently available throughout the United States, thanks to CZ-USA. Replacement pricing on the CZ-83 is $500 or more per unit in our area, if a person can even find one. We’re offering the CZ-83 in the photo, however, for only $ 279.00. Not transferable to civilians in California, District of Colombia, or Massachusetts. For civilian buyers in jurisdictions where 15 round magazines are restricted, $250 freight paid lower 48 but no magazines. 10 round magazines are readily available from C-Z USA com. Winning buyer may take one extra magazine at $49.00; limit one per pistol. Affected jurisdictions include Chicago, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> $10 lower 48; $30 AK, HI, PR, USPS Priority. 7 day money back on used items, but No Returns on NIB, Lay-away, or Ammo. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
