This listing is for the exact shotgun in the photos. Dealers, clubs, and collectors, however, may take any very similar specimens of its same variant that we might have on hand at the same per-gun price and with no additional shipping charges. The marriage of Italian gun production equipment with Turkish industriousness is a fortunate one for all of us. Here is an excellent specimen of Mossberg’s new SA20 series semi automatic shotgun chambered in 20 gauge. Manufacturer is Kayhan Art, or Khan, of Konya, Turkey. Importer and warrantor is Mossberg International of Eagle Pass, Texas. Type is inertia operated semi-automatic shotgun. Construction is steel barrel, bolt, and internal parts housed in a lightweight alloy receiver and trigger group housing. Stock and forend are high impact matte black graphite based synthetic, with fluted forend and checkered surfaces on the forend and pistol grip area. Barrel is 28 inch 9 port, .312 serrated ventilated rib that measures .22 high above the barrel at the forend. Chambering is 20 gauge, 2 3/4 inch and 3 inch interchangeably; and operators are advised to expect a break in period before cycling light load shells. Tube furnished is a .610 Improved Cylinder, and the SA20 has the same choke tube threads as the Benelli and Beretta Mobil Chokes, readily available throughout the country. Length of pull is 14 1/8 inch from the .250 chrome plated smooth faced trigger to the end of the 1 inch black factory recoil pad. One improvement this SA20 has made over its Benelli and Beretta ancestors is that one need not hit any extraneous release button or lever before a shell goes from the magazine onto the chrome plated shell carrier. Capacity, with the adapter or plug removed, is 4+1 on 2 3/4 inch, or 3+1 on 3 inch shells. Safety is right hand shooter, behind the trigger. Buttstock drop is the usual 1 1/2 inch at comb and 2 1/2 inch at the butt, but the 1 inch right hand cant further conspires against this shotgun being southpaw friendly; it is not. Weight empty is 6 pounds 4 ounces, with center of gravity at the breech face. This specimen comes to us from light duty as a showgirl with Mossberg’s sales force. We call it a factory demo, displayed on the road with a rep or at gun industry trade shows like the annual SHOT show in Las Vegas. Surface detractions are negligible to minimal, only occasional faint streaking and edge wear, really no more than a person sees on new display guns in shops across the country. We rate it as Excellent, 90 to 95 percent vicinity by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Bore, chamber, mechanism, and choke threads are all bright and clean. If this Mossberg has been fired, it was fewer than 50 times. It comes in a factory Mossberg box with cable lock and instruction manual that contains Mossberg’s warranty statement. Replacement pricing on this shotgun is $500 or more in our area. It wholesales for $399. We’re offering the 20 gauge 28 inch Mossberg SA20 in the photos, however, for only $ 319.00.
Guns America search terms SA20 Robertson will bring up our individually photographed specimens of this Mossberg variant.
