This ad features the pictured W.W. Greener Facile Princeps boxlock .410 Shotgun, made between 1 approx. This is indeed a very rare gun with possibly less than ten ever made. It was built for John Caswell, a shooting instructor of some reknown and author of Sporting Rifles And Rifle Shooting which was published in 1920. This gun is featured in The Greener Story by Graham Greener. The gun weighs in at 3 and 1/2 pounds. It is an extremely petite gun that is complete with all the features including the famed Greener cross bolt Locking system and the side mounted safety. The barrels measure 27 inches and appear to have been professionally reblued to factory standards. The wood is original to the gun and in very good condition with a small repair to the toe. The receiver retains a bit of the original case colors. The buttplate is horn and completes a 14 and 1/2 inch length of pull. The gun dates to approximately 1910 and is Nitro Proofed.
