This Pinned Barrel, Bangor Punta era Smith & Wesson Chief’s Special spent its entire career sparingly used and carefully maintained by the distinguished officers of the St. James Parish, Louisiana, Sheriff’s Departments. It came into service in the latter years of the Honorable Gordon J. Martin, who served his Parish for a total of 40 years. It has been professionally refinished with Carry-Tuff, a tougher-than stainless Teflon/Moly finish that embeds itself into the metal and is more impervious to wear than stainless steel. Otherwise, this is a thoroughly traditional Model 36 S&W with no suffix to its model designation. J600,000 range serial number dates its manufacture to 1977 or 1978. Trigger and hammer are the original .240 width serrated, K-Kote as well. We have furnished it with a set of period correct Sile Combat Walnut grips. It is round butt grip frame, steel frame, 2 inch barrel, 5 round double- and single-action. Note that the bore has a small amount of pitting. Less than 25 percent of it is affected, and only at the back toward the forcing cone. It is excellent mechanically; cylinder chambers, and mechanism are bright, clean, and excellent. Blast effect to the frame topstrap underside is negligible, with no cutting whatsoever. Timing is excellent, and lateral play to the cylinder is negligible. This is at once an attractive, eminently serviceable and collectable Chief’s special 2 inch 5 shot steel frame. We’re offering it for only $ 339.95.
Not transferable to civilians in California, D.C., or Massachusetts.

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
