The Beretta Cougar enjoyed only a decade long stint in production in the United States. The frame, as the photos show, is almost identical to the 92 Vertec, and Vertec Grips, which we have several of, will fit correctly. Magazines on this 9mm are the same as the 92FS, and both magazines with this 8000 Cougar are Law Enforcement marked, early ban period. The distinctive thing about the Cougar, of course, is its barrel system: 3.5 inch steel barrel with two locking lugs and a rotating bolt system. Performance was flawless on these, and from this one’s 006000MC range serial number, we believe it is a first year production specimen from 1995, and it has served and protected our fellow citizens in the vicinity of our Nation’s Capital for the past fifteen years. The D variant was in production only from 1995 until 2000, a relatively scarce pistol. D, of course, means DAO, Double Action Only, where every shot fires with a consistent smooth full double action trigger pull motion, just like firing a Smith & Wesson Revolver on double action every shot. The hammer does not stand. There is no slide mounted manual safety because the officer did not need one, since there is no need to decock the weapon. It has a firing pin safety or firing pin block to guard against accidental discharge if the weapon is dropped. Weight empty is 32.6 ounces, similar to the 92FS but more compact. Surface detractions are extensive with extensive whitening on the grip frame and left side of the frame and slide. We rate this 8000 Cougar as Good to Very Good, since about 35 percent of its surfaces are affected by holster and carry wear by our estimate. Photos, at any rate, should suffice for prospective owners to judge finish grade for themselves. It is Excellent mechanically; bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. For $200 or so, it can be restored to as-new condition. Either way, it is eminently serviceable and even collectable. We’re offering it for only $ 349.00. Not transferable to civilians in California, D.C., or Massachusetts. For civilian buyers in jurisdictions where the 15 round magazines are restricted, we will sub factory 10 rounders. Affected jurisdictions include Chicago, Hawaii, New York, Puerto Rico.

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
