This is an old work horse Model 1886 made in 1914 (serial #150xxx), .33 WCF caliber, 24" barrel. It has been there and done that! However, it survived the trip relatively well. The bore shows lots of shooting, but no pits or rings, and it is bright. It retains some original finish in protected areas, and the stocks are in good shape. A piece of the butt stock was chipped off at some time, and it has been expertly mended (replaced). I have shown one picture of the mend on the lower right front of the butt stock where it meets the receiver. The stock is worn and missing very small chips on either side of the upper tang near the receiver, but this does not make it any less solid. The rear barrel sight is an original flat top and the front is an original Lyman. We can take VISA or MasterCard for an additional 2% fee, and will consider trades for M71's in factory original condition.
