The gun is in good mechanical condition, with some slight blue remaining in protected areas. The stocks are very good, with no splits or cracks and only the usual dings and scrapes from use. The barrel has some blue turning brown patina and the magazine retains 50% of its original blue with slight, shallow pitting in one area just forward of the forend. The rear sight and elevator are original but the front sight appears to have been replaced with a Lyman gold beaded one. The cartridge guide screws have been replaced as well as the upper tang screw. The bore is poor, but shootable, not pitted but worn.
