This beautiful example of old-world Swiss craftsmanship has been upgraded with a 3x9 Simmons variable-power scope. These rifles are renowned for their accuracy, but they are even more prized for the quality of their construction, as evidenced by their polished, stainless steel bolt. Over and above that, they have a simple, but elegant advanced, straight-pull bolt design with a 6-round magazine that makes the rifle not only fast but utterly reliable. This stock has a soft brown patina over a deep, rich grain pattern that really "pops" in the sun. ( This one is almost too pretty to shoot ) The rifle would make a handsome addition to any military surplus rifle collection as well as a favorite "shooter" for the avid hunter or marksman. (The target grouping shown in the picture was done over open (iron) sights--not with the scope. Using the scope, we felt, would show an unfair advantage for the rifle's inherent accuracy.)
