Extra nice condition 1894 saddle ring carbine made in 1919. This Winchester retains well above average blue for it's age, barrel and magazine tube have 95% coverage with minor edge wear at the muzzle and magazine cap. The 20 inch barrel has an excellent bore that rates a strong 9+ on a 1 to 10 scale, sharp rifling, shiny bore and no pitting or frosting. The front sight is a period Marbles 94-C with a gold bead, the rear is the correct Winchester #44A ladder style carbine sight. The receiver retains a strong 70+% blue with typical carry wear on the sharp edges and bottom of receiver. Mechanically excellent, it feeds, chambers and ejects smoothly. The saddle ring is intact and operates freely. The stock and forend are solid and tight, no cracks, chips or extra holes. There are a couple of minor dents and small scratches from hunting which you can see in the photos. There is approximately 65% factory finish on the stock and forend. The steel carbine style buttplate is in very good condition and has a nice even plum brown patina. A fine vintage Winchester saddle ring carbine in extra nice condition. Add it to your collection and with the excellent bore it will deliver fine accuracy for hunting!
