Surface detractions are moderate, principally weakness to the receiver, a common condition for the 1894, whose receiver was very hard steel. Other detractions include hand wear on the top tang, and moderate amounts of light scouring and end weathering to the buttstock. We classify it as Very Good, 75 percent vicinity by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves.
