Description: Only occasionally do we ever see any more of the 1894 Winchesters bearing Sears Roebuck's model and brand, like this Ted Williams 100 from about 1971. Serial number is V1178xx. This rifle comes to us from an Estate in Memphis, and it was bought new at the Sears Store at Poplar and Mt. Moriah some time during the Nixon Years from our knowledge of the rifle and the estate. This rifle exhibits minimal surface wear: note the exceptionally excellent state of the receiver bluing. Walnut stock and forend are also unusually high grade for a Sears Variant of the 1894 Winchester, both buttstock and forend have fairly exotic burl and fiddleback patterns. Metal only shows faint amounts of case wear on its sharp edges, and detractions to the stock are minimal as well. The chief detraction it the late owner's amateur adaptation of the Williams Hammer Spur: he did not remove it while tapering it down so there is one small ground spot on the left rear edge of the hammer spur, as the photos show. We nevertheless consider this rifle to be in Excellent Condition, since 90 percent of its original finish is intact by our estimate. Photos should suffice, at any rate, for prospective owners to judge finish grade for themselves. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent; and this 94's shell carrier is milled steel, not stamped as most of the ones made in the late 1960s were. Note the minimal wear to the loading gate. This rifle has been loaded fewer than 100 rounds, and probably not fired more than 40 times. We hazard that there are fewer of the Ted Williams 100s circulating in this fine condition than there are of the factory stamped 1894 Winchesters themselves. We're offering this one for only $389.95

Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
