The hardwood stock is nicely grained and decorated with a brass crescent buttplate, patchbox, trigger guard, wedge plates, nose cap and thimbles. Purchased a dozen or so years ago at an auction in Maine and never once fired it; the rifle has been stored in my gun safe since then. Very nice condition for hunting, target shooting, or just to hang over the fireplace.
