Description: PRICE REDUCED!!! Won't last long at this price! This is the ultimate 338 Lapua-beater, long-range rifle rig with the ultimate long-range cartridge. This rifle is a Cross Canyon Arms 338-378 Tejas wildcat caliber which is essentially an "Ackley improved" 338-378 Weatherby. This round has roughly a 200 FPS advantage over the parent cartridge, as with other Tejas rounds from this manufacturer. The .338-378 Tejas using a 300 grain Berger hybrid bullet will remain supersonic to beyond 2 miles. It has the reach of a .408 CheyTac / .50 BMG with far less cost and recoil. Accuracy is exceptional - sub .5 MOA all day long. This rifle will shoot the 300 grain Berger hybrid VLD's at roughly 3050 FPS.

This rifle is based on Remington 700 Magnum action, bolt face opened, action machined to accommodate VLD bullets (2-shot at least)

Some of the pertinent details of this rifle are as follows:

- 29" Pac-Nor heavy fluted barrel with integral muzzle brake - McMillan A3 stock - 6.5-20 Leupold LRT Scope - Farrell Base, rings - Redding competition bushing dies - Hornady custom FL sizing die and hydro-forming die to make brass from 338-378 Wby brass - Roughly 300 Weatherby brass, (roughly half fire-formed)

This rile is essentially a high-end Grand Canyon as sold now by Cross Canyon Arms, retailing for at least $4,300.00. Add at least $750 for the scope and $100+ for the Ken Farrell base and rings and you're over $5,000.00. I'm into dies for this rifle at least $600.00 including the Redding competition bushing dies and the Hornady custom-ground full-length sizing die and hydro forming die. Buying 300 pieces of new Weatherby brass would cost about $1,200.00 from Midway USA. About half of mine is once fired and over half is not fire-formed yet. I have annealed all the un-formed brass, making for near-zero loss of new brass when fire forming. The barrel has roughly 150 rounds through it. Buying this rig as a complete bundle will save you over $2,450 over piecing it together yourself.

I am part way into load development for this rifle and realize that I have too many other rifle / caliber projects in the works that are more pressing to do this rifle justice. I will happily share the load development I have done thus far with the purchaser of this rifle / equipment. Load development has been done for 250 grain SMK's and the 300 grain Berger hybrid bullets.

This rifle will make a .338 RUM or Lapua look weak. Furthermore, the 338-378 Tejas caliber has numerous advantages over the parent cartridge that you will realize - less brass fatigue, much better efficiency, accuracy, velocity, less bolt thrust, etc.

This cartridge has developed a long-range shooter / hunter cult following and I am confident it will move quickly once the word is out. Pick it up before it's gone! This one is set up and ready to shoot today, saving you tons of research and tuning to get where this rig is now!
