This puts date of manufacture c. 1918. This is a semi auto U.S. Army 45 ACP. It has a 5" Barrel with a Bore in Excellent condition. It has Dove Tail Rear sights and a standard Black trigger. It has a two tone magazine with a Lanyard Loop. To the rear of butt is the Laynard Loop. It has the Double Diamond Stocks, In Excellent Condition with Sharp Checkering. It is marked on the left side of slide to front of Rampant Colt Symbol In Two Lines "Patented APR. 20, 1897. SEPT. 9, 1902 / DEC. 19, 1905. FEB. 14, 1911. AUG. 19, 1913". And marked on the right side of the Rampant Colt in two lines is "COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. / HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A.". On the left side frame to rear of trigger is "SB" and on the edge of trigger guard on left side"18". On the right side of slide "MODEL OF 1911. U.S. ARMY". Right side of frame above trigger "UNITED STATES PROPERTY No 536861". Accessories: Laynard with Non Ferrous Fittings has patented date on crimped fasters holding Cordage to spring loaded snap hook dated "PAT. FEN-20-17" in Excellent condition. It is all non magnetic; MILLS double magazine pouch dated 1918, with stud closers, non magnetic. Holding two magazines, the bottoms are stamped in two lines "COLT / 45 AUTO", one is like New, Two Tone, the other is blue with some piting on the left side near the mouth. Condition is Good. the mag in the gun is two tone, with laynard loop in center of the base. The colorization of the mag is Mottled. The holster is imbossed with the typical "US", marked into the front of the holster is "LARRY MILLER" but the first name is not very clear. The holster has a rawhyde type Tiedown Thong through the drain hole grammits. This original Colt comes with a "U.S." stamped original leather holster with the braided strap attached to the tip. On the inside of the holster flap is a serial # believed to be "6746". This holster is complete and has all accessories such as the metal belt hook and the decore. The pistol has a 5" barrel. Overall everything is in Excellent condition with the exception of the holster which would rate fine. FFL Required. Please note we have a total of 25 very defined pictures for this magnificant piece.
