Parker DHE Double Ejectorgun, serial # 218683, 12 gauge on No. 1 1/2 frame. 26" barrels show bright excellent bores and are choked improved cylinder and improved modified. This is a very nice little Parker and in my opinion, a Parker collector's dream piece. The vintage of this gun and condition is truly priceless.
This shotgun is equipped with a period-installed Miller single selective trigger utilizing the safety as the selector. This shotgun is honest and remains in very nice condition. The barrels have their original 2 9/16" chambers and retain 90-95% evenly thinning original blue finish with loss due to just a little light thinning on left side of left barrel at breech. The frame retains very crisp "D" grade engraving and shows 75% original color case-hardened finish with loss being mainly on forward section of belly with sides of action showing vibrant color. The trigger-guard retains about half of its original blue. The checkered pistol grip buttstock and forend are of very nicely figured walnut and rate near excellent with a good deal of original finish remaining and possibly a little added light oil. There is a little light wear to the checkering but the checkering still rates near excellent. The buttstock has an old, period added leather covered pad with the end of the butt slightly reshaped to a straighter plane but with the walnut filled widows peak still visible. The rib has what appears to be a filled mid bead hole with the barrel matting re-cut. The shotgun weighs in a 7 lbs and points beautifully with a 14 1/4" length of pull and with drops of 1 5/8" and 2 1/2". This is a very endearing 1926 production shotgun that will perform equally as well in the field as a bird dispatcher, as it will in the cabinet as a hard investment.
