We have a flintlock converted to percussion circa 1830-40. It features a half octagon, half round, swamped barrels (wider at the muzzle than in the mid section) which were a pre- revolutionary war feature found in rifles and pistols. It appears to be around a 58 bore. The shape of the tang is also an earlier type. The lock is Germanic style and is an original flintlock converted to cap lock based on the interior mechanism. The wood is Cherry which was a later feature normally from the 1820's on as was the incised carving rather than the raised carving found in the earlier period rifles and pistols. $995 plus $25 shipped directly to you. We offer 30, 60, 90, and 120 day layaway. Email us for details.
