Here is the up-and-coming face of US Forces' battle rifle for power and long range; it is a masterful joint-effort creation between DPMS and Remington, the AR-15 platform beefed up and chambered in .308 Winchester, 7.62x51 NATO caliber. Remington advertises it as advanced, lethal and accurate. Photo shows the military M-110 selective fire variant in operation with one of our soldiers. Barrel is precision crafted .060 Outside Diameter 20 inch button-rifled fluted Chrome-Moly housed free-floating in a machined alloy forend tube. The fluted configuration not only minimizes weight, but allows for more rapid heat dissipation. Muzzle is recessed for rifling protection and a lifetime of accuracy. Trigger is a crisp, single-stage original set 4 1/2 to 5 pounds. Construction of upper and lower are forged alloy with durable Mossy Oak Treestand finish that blends in well to a variety of environments and is impervious to weather. This rifle comes with a 4 round DPMS MA3084 magazine, and it readily accepts DPMS 10- and 19-round magazines, #MA3081 and 3082. Front sight area is a Picatinny four-slot block, and receiver is full-length Weaver or Picatinny type, optics ready.
