Description: First and foremost, this is NOT one of those cheap, poorly made Chinese "mountain man" guns. This is a finely crafted, hand finished flintlock, using only the finest materials available. The fit of the furniture, the finish on the wood, all of it is simply beautiful. This is a true collectors piece for the serious hunter/collector.

I have owned this flintlock for a number of years and purchased it from a custom builder back east. This is by far the finest flintlock I have ever seen in person and the craftsmanship is absolutely astounding. It is a fowler, meaning that it is a smooth bore which can use both buckshot or round ball. The cal. is roughly .60. The overall length is 59" inches. The style is best described as an French Fusil, the design dates from around the mid 18th century and was popular through the American Revolution.

This fowler is in perfect working order and fires straight and true. I have hunted with this for many years and have taken everything from Deer to Pheasant.

I am getting out of the hobby and would rather sell this and let someone else enjoy it then leave it to collect dust in my closet.
