Our # GRsil066, Grips S&W J Frame Square Butt Oversize Sile Walnut 1980s New Old Stock Models 34 36 37 60 63 Will Not Fit Round Butt / This listing is for One set of grips; buyers, however, may take any number of extras we have on hand at the same per-set price and with no additional shipping charges. Most Smith & Wesson Revolvers manufactured after 1996 have Round Butt Grip Frames. If you aren’t sure which yours is, please see the comparative photo. Photos show representatives of only a couple dozen Italian Walnut grips we found in an old Southern Warehouse for any Smith & Wesson J frame revolver with a square butt grip frame. These include models 34 and 36, and their stainless counterparts models 63 and 60. Very Few 60 Square Butts were ever manufactured. These are excellent grips, and we sold lots of them during the 1960s until 1980s. These were imported by distinguished New York Importer Sile, Inc., and all of them are new, just occasionally with some slight signs of shelfwear from their years in the warehouse. What these do, shooting wise, is to extend the grip into a longer square butt style feel, and they give about an extra inch of finger space on their butt portion. The top of the checkering area sweeps out slightly into a finger rest configuration for added grip control and distinctive, period-correct appearance. Some of our photos show a vintage Louisiana Law Enforcement S&W with a set installed. Apart from that, they look good. These are all genuine cut-checkered Italian Walnut with nickel plated screws and screw escutcheons. These grips are period correct for any Smith & Wesson manufactured from the late 1960s through about 1995, and we consider them collectable in their own right. We’re offering these fine grips well below what similar bizarre looking competitors sell for. Own a set, the ones in the photos or a set of their identical mates for only $ 29.00.
