As part of the United States Bicentennial, J. Wiss Company, then of Newark, New Jersey, issued a series of Great American Story Knives in the 1970s featuring different models of the US-made Boker Tree Brand Knives. This is an 8315 pattern Muskrat type, an equal end Jack with identical California Clip blades. It is in its original box with all its papers. Its only surface detraction is dark toning, mainly on the reverse upper edge of the secondary blade. We rate it as Excellent, since no more than 10 percent of the surface area is affected, but it will not quite rate Near Mint status. Photos should suffice for interested parties to judge finish grade for themselves. This knive measures 4 inches closed, 3 1/4 inch blades measured from heel to point, standard Muskrat size. This specimen specifically honors the principal characters of the Buffalo Bill Wild West Show, and the main blade is etched with an Old Wild West inscription.
