This TC Scout has a few very light dings to the walnut stock, which you have to look for to notice. No breaking through of the finish. This is one of the early models with the case hardened receiver. Later models were simply blued. There is a little scuffing to the brass buttplate from contact with the ground while loading, which would polish up pretty easy . There is a small scratch on one side of the rear sight step elevator. Other than that, the bluing looks perfect. The barrel is 24 inches from the nipple to the muzzle. Uses number 11 percussion caps. The rate of twist is one turn in 38" to handle round balls, maxiballs and sabots. The bore can be viewed from the breech end when the nipple is removed and is bright and shiny with no sign of rust. The rest of the rifle is just as clean.
