HG3557 The Walther PPK/S-1 got some undeserved bad press over a factory recall that took place in 2007. Smith & Wesson corrected the problem, and they are by no means the only ones to have a recall. Here is a Walther PPK/S-1 that never left Smith & Wesson corporate custody until we got it. Fired brass is dated from April of 2011. This specimen is what we call a factory demo, a show pistol shared among the Smith & Wesson sales team. It has never had a 4473 form executed on it. Correct Product code is VAH38001; this Walther, however, is marked V6H38001. Its only surface detractions are two or three tiny buff marks on the upper left matte area of the slide, and one small streak on the right hand side of the frame beside the trigger guard.. We classify it as Excellent, since no more than 5 to 8 percent of its finish is affected in our estimation; photos, at any rate, ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. As far as the basic pistol, we cannot tell any difference in quality between it and its Interarms ancestors. Here is what the factory says about the PPK/S-1: Developed in 1931, the Walther PPK continues to thrill the shooting public and the legend lives on. The PPK-S, with a longer frame for one additional cartridge, and the PPK are now both produced in the USA. Features of the PPK and PPK-S include a firing pin safety, manual safety with decocking function, double action and single action trigger and extended beaver tail grip frame strut. Type is traditional double- and single-action semi-auto, long smooth double action pull on the first shot from a resting hammer position, and then, on this specimen, a crisp 4 pound single action trigger pull with minimal felt creep on subsequent shots until the shooter chooses to end the firing session by engaging the main safety which decocks the pistol. Grips are classic glossy checkered black synthetic with Walther banner; construction is entirely stainless steel; sights are red dot front and contrast red bar fixed rear; capacity is 7+1 rounds with the included issue finger rest factory magazine. Weight empty is a light 22.4 ounces. This fine pistol is every bit as good, or even better, than any of the Interarms Walthers, since it will digest sharp nosed hollow point ammunition like the Federal Hydra-Shok. It is a testament, as well, to the mechanical expertise of the Smith & Wesson factory workers in Houlton, Maine, who also brought us the 422/622 series of pistols. This pistol with its original fired brass, total of one magazine, and California Compliant cable lock. Note that the box is missing one of its gray hinges. The slide stop is fully operative, but for some reason the slide does not lock open with an empty magazine in battery. That kind of thing is not a problem for most of us, but this pistol is under a factory warranty. We have not cleaned it, but it is no more dirty than any of its identical brand new mates we’ve had recently. Replacement price on this pistol in our area is upwards of $700.00, if a person can even find one. We're offering the PPK/S-1 in the photos, however, for only $ 429.00. Not transferable to civilians in California, District of Colombia, or Massachusetts.

Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
