Description: Here is the best looking variant of Smith & Wesson’s .38 Centennial Airweight introduced in the Company’s Centennial Year of 1952, a popular product descended from the experimental Air Crewman all-aluminum revolver of the early 1950s. This is the Ladysmith Variant, numbered model 642-2 LS. Manufacturer is Smith & Wesson of Springfield, MA. Barrel, cylinder and parts are all stainless steel, integrated into a lightweight aluminum alloy frame, hence the 15 ounce light weight empty, down from 20-21 ounces for the steel J frame Smith & Wessons. Center of gravity is at the trigger. The Centennial was introduced as a pocket revolver. Since its hammer is completely encased in the frame, there is no possibility of clothing snagging from a hammer spur. Action, then, is double action only; there is no way for the hammer to stand in single action. A distinct advantage to the Centennial is that an alarmed, armed homeowner will not be able to cock the revolver into single action when he or she hears a noise; but a steady deliberate pull of the trigger will fire the revolver with more certainty than any automatic ever produced. The .312 smooth faced combat trigger pulls a 10 pound vicinity double action with 7/8 inch trigger travel. Smith & Wesson revolvers all have an internal transfer bar safety to guard against accidental discharge, and this 642-2 variant has the internal hammer lock, supplied with two keys. The high gloss combat finger grooved Rosewood laminate boot grips allow a firm hold as possible with no increase of the overall height or size of the small J frame. Chambering is .38 Smith & Wesson Special caliber; cylinder holds 5 rounds of .38 Special and .38 Special +P interchangeably. Finish is matte stainless barrel, cylinder, rod and screws, with matching satin finish nickel coating to the alloy frame. This specimen comes to us from one of our dealer friends in Illinois. It is in an unlabeled blue plastic factory box with two keys and an instruction manual. Cylinder face is black on three, as we say; we do not believe this revolver was ever fired since it left the factory in July of 2013 [from its CUF serial number prefix]. It shows very faint wear on the upper rear frame edges. We rate it as Excellent, 95 percent vicinity by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Bore, cylinder chambers, and mechanism are all bright and clean. Replacement price on these revolvers is now upwards of $600.00 in our area, if a person can even find one. We're offering the Smith & Wesson 642-2 Centennial Ladysmith in the photos, however, for only $ 419.00 Not transferable to civilian residents of California.

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
