Very good example of a 1945 Imperial Japanese surrendered rifle. Type 99 Arisaka. Series #25, by Kokura Arsenal. Serial number 85591. As per Gen. MacArthur's agreement, the Mum was surrender ground. The bore may have been unfired. Bought from the estate of a local WWII Vet. Appears to have been untouched since he returned from Japan in 1945. Chambered for 7.7mm Arisaka. Now 65 years old. These pieces of 20th century war history will soon skyrocket in value. Small spot on the stock has separated and was repaired. More photos and details upon request.
