Photos are representative, but buyer will receive a very similar rifle to the photo specimens, from the same shipment. Here is a small ring Spanish M1916 Mauser, German production. Original manufacturer was Ludwig Lowe of Berlin. Rework arsenal was Fabrica de Armas, Oveido, Spain. Crest Markings are no longer legible; but import mark is Oveido Spain M1916 / Samco MIA FL 7mm MAU under the barrel near the muzzle. Receiver and bolt numbers are mismatched. Type is bolt action Mauser Rifle. Chambering is 7mm Mauser, 7x57mm, for lower pressure loads. Construction is steel and walnut. See photo for specs. Finish is blued barrel and receiver, with white bolt assembly, and oil finish stock. Surface detractions are extensive with metal toning, freckling, and scouring to the stock surface. We rate this rifle and its mates as only Fair, perhaps Good, Condition, 50 to 60 percent vicinity by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Tang and lug area cracks come from combat, striking with the butt of the rifle or using a fixed bayonet. Bore will have clear rifling lands, but its grooves will be etchy. Bolt movement is about 3/8 inch measured at the knob. This Mauser comes with an army issue leather sling, Samco hang tags and Gibbs Rifle instruction papers.
