Colt New Service revolver in 45 ACP. Blue finish, is excellent at 95%. Colt wood stocks are excellent with wear from use. 5-1/2 inch barrel marked “Colt New Service 45 Colt” which is correct. Matching serial numbers 3247XX, manufacture date 1926, 45 ACP was not a catalog caliber in that year. Hand checkered back strap from Colt, See Murphy’s Book page 35&36. Shipped to dealer in Los Angeles in March of 1927, from Colt letter sold with the revolver. The barrel has some thinning which is visible in the pictures. Action is tight and timing correct. Trigger and hammer are excellent with 100% of blue remaining. Bore is 98%+ with the tinniest bit of roughness next to rifling, and the chambers are 100%. Screws could be better but not bad. Note that some of the pictures are with the colt rubber grips and some with wood grips. Same gun, the wood grips shown are original to and come with the gun. Reasonable offers considered.
