This listing is for ONE genuine Tyler T Grip Adapter; buyers, however, may take any number of extras we have on hand at the same per-grip price, and with no additional shipping charges. We do not ship these internationally for several reasons. Here is the original Tyler revolver grip adapter. This is Tyler’s 20SB#3, to fit any Smith & Wesson Revolver in K or L frame with a square butt grip frame in conjunction with traditional small Magna type service grip panels. It will not fit over rubber grips because it anchors to the grip frame front strap, and rubber covers that area. Manufacturer and warrantor is Tyler Manufacturing of Oklahoma. Construction is one piece alloy, with copper alloy retaining clip and steel clip ring. Finish is gloss black anodized. This grip adapter became a classic in the 1960s ad 1970s distributed from Mr. Melvin Tyler in Oklahoma City. It will fit any Smith & Wesson K or L Frame Revolver with a square butt grip frame that has small size grip panels of similar size to the factory grips shipped until the 1990s, when rubber took over. It will work just fine with current production Smith & Wesson 21992 grips, or with Ajax magna size grips. Smith & Wesson models include models Models 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 64, 65, 66, 581, 586, 681, 686 that have a square butt grip frame; and Taurus 80, 81, 82, 65, and 66 with square butt grip frame and magna size grips. As the Nixon Era Taurus 82 shows, the Tauruses will leave a slight gap. It will fit a Round Butt K or L, but it will be too long and won’t look right. It will not work on a Smith & Wesson J Frame 5 Shot; will not work on the turn signal lever of a 1974 Ford Pinto. It will only work on a Smith & Wesson K or L Frame Revolver or one of its close Taurus clones that have magna type grips that do not cover the front strap of the grip frame. This Tyler T provides support for the shooter’s middle and ring fingers, with enough space for the pinky to rest on the grip frame front strap for most shooters. Its purpose is a better feel, but they also allow a much smaller grip circumference than Rubber or Combat grips, and it helps reduce muzzle flip with magnum loads. This grip adapter, with the above listed requirements, is relatively easy to install. All a person needs to do is loosen their revolver’s grip panels’ screw just enough for the copper tabs to fit around the grip frame’s front strap, slide it into place and then retighten the grip screw. This grip adapter restores the classic 1970s – 1980s appearance to any K or L Frame Smith & Wesson Square Butt Revolver. The Nixon Era Taurus and K22 Masterpiece whose grip frames show in some of our photos are not included, of course. We’re offering these excellent revolver accessory items, each for only $ 36.00.
