MARLIN Model 1893 cal 30-30.This rifle was made right around 1906. The reciever is mostly smooth silver gray with some traces of case coloring. It is factory equiped for the Hepburn sight that was removed a long time ago with the screws for the sight still remaining. The barrel and tube retain lots of blue. The bore is very nice bright and shiney. The wood is also very nice and unsanded or reworked and retaining its original finish and nice tight fit to metal. Mechanics are excellant.Overall a nice clean tight old Marlin. No rust and no signs of neglect or abuse. Great gun for the collection or for hunting or cowboy action shooting.
