I have had this one for a little while and am doing a little "cleaning of house". This is the last of these I have left over from the days where we stocked Colt products along with the usual H&R "hardware store guns" in our shop (those were the good old days befor Big Box put us in the grave in the gun market). This air pistol (although very similar) is not the currently available 1911-A1 distributed by Umarex that is available for around $280 (if you can even find one of the newer Umarex imports in the Nickel, everyone seems to be stocking black parkerized). Also keep in mind the nickel will stay as new longer, as any blue finish will show holster wear much faster. It is the original model that was imported and distributed directly by Colt's Patent Firearms as indicated on the packaging, literature, and rollmarks. These pistols in my opinion were quite a bit nicer than the current Umarex incarnation in my opinion. This one is unfired, but I personally have a blued model that I call my own and shoot very impressive groups with it- best shooting air pistols I have ever seen. Heavy metal construction throughout, not a plastic Wal-Mart type gun. Built to last a lifetime if you treat it right. The grip safety is shiny fire blue as are the slide safety and barrel/ loading release as opposed to the matte parkerized look of the new ones. This one sports the very attractive combination of nickel plate/black grips- we used to call this one "the Dillinger gun" or "the G-man special" around the shop- has a very prohibition era feel to it in my opinion. Includes all manuals/literature, cleaning brush, and sealed unopened tin of 500 Colt branded match pellets (although if I were you I would leave these sealed and put away as they are no longer being included since the Umarex take over of imports, they may become collectable in thier own right).
