This is one of the very hard to find Browning Model 1885 High Wall .45-90 Creedmoor BPCRs. It was completely disassembled, checked out & cleaned. It was not dirty and appears to have been fired very little. Except for a couple of very tiny “safe dings” on the stock the rifle is in like new condition. Only 330 Browning Creedmoor rifles were made in 1998. This is rifle number 24. It is an “out-of-the-box” rifle ready for silhouette and long-range Creedmoor competition. Designed for longer range shooting in adverse wind conditions, it’s chambered for the .45-90 Winchester cartridge and features a ½ octagon ½ round 34” Badger barrel and windage adjustable front sight. The rifling twist rate is 1 in 18. It will also fire the .45-70 Gov. cartridge.
The rear Browning vernier soule sight comes with a Lee Shaver selectable aperture eyecup. The front sight is a top of the line Axtell windage adjustable spirit level globe sight & comes with 5 inserts. The front top of the receiver and rear of the barrel are factory drilled and tapped to install scope bases if desired. On a very accurate postage scale, the rifle weighs 12 lbs 3 oz with the sights and eyecup installed. The rifle will be shipped with a copy of the owner’s manual
