Here is a representative of the Glock Model 37 full size auto chambered in the innovative .45 GAP caliber, a shorter cased, higher velocity .45 caliber round that enjoyed intense but brief popularity. One refreshing thing about this caliber, besides its innovative virtues, is that there is a good supply of ammunition for it in distribution channels. As far as specs, this Model 37 Glock is basically identical to its parent model 21. Weight empty is only 29 1/4 ounces; the innovative Glock Polymer damping system, however, significantly reduces felt recoil on this powerhouse. Barrel is 4.60 inches with German style polygonal bore that ensures consistent accuracy with diminished fouling. Sight system is classic Glock dot front and U-white outline rear; frame is rail type. This pistol includes a total of four standard capacity 10 shot magazines, so the loaded capability is 11 shots. Note that this is a late variant with finger grooves and flat sides to its grip frame, and with Picatinny Rail integral to the frame. This one comes to us from one of our Federal Law Enforcement friends in Georgia; it has been carried a bit and fired only sparsely, fewer than 300 rounds. Surface detractions only amount to very faint weakness in the finish on the sharp edges of its slide. We classify it as Excellent, since we estimate that more than 90 percent of its original finish is intact.
