This is a very nice saddle ring carbine in the scarce .25-35WCF caliber. The receiver doesn't have any original finish but is not rusted or badly worn. The barrel and magazine tube retain a fair amount of original blue. The gun is mechanically fine with a good bore. The stocks are of walnut and in very good condition, with only a shallow split on the bottom front of the fore arm, less than an inch long. The gun was made in the late teens, with a serial number of 839xxx. On the receiver just to the rear of the serial number, the marks "J.C.'17" are neatly stamped. Sling swivels have been added, and though the one in the butt stock is not in the location the factory would have placed it, the swivels are Winchester. This is really a classic gun in great condition, and in a rare caliber. Will consider trade for Model 71 Winchester. We can take VISA or MasterCard for an additional 2% fee.
