Here is Walther’s US Made incarnation of its PPK/S pistol in .22 Long Rifle Caliber. Manufacturer is Carl Walther Sportwaffen GmbH of Ulm, Germany. Importer and warrantor is Walther Arms, Inc., of Fort Smith, Arkansas. Type is blowback action semi automatic rimfire pistol. Construction is almost entirely alloy, with steel hammer, safety lever and internal parts. Finish is matte blue or anodized. Barrel is 3.35 inch, three piece P22 style with steel liner housed in an alloy casing. Slide is serrated rear alloy construction. Sights are black pinned in blade front, and dovetailed, screw secured rear, fixed or drift adjustable for windage only. Trigger is alloy .315 serrated face, photo specimen had a 15 – 18 pound vicinity double action pull, but a reasonably crisp 5 3/4 pound single action pull. Weight empty is 23 ounces with center of gravity just behind the magazine release, only 1/2 ounce heavier than the all steel .32 and .380 PPK/S Walthers. Caliber is .22 Long Rifle. This new PPKS .22 comes with one P22 style 10 shot magazine, 10+1 fully loaded capacity. Grips are classic semi-gloss checkered black synthetic with Walther banner. Features of the PPK and PPK-S include a firing pin safety, manual safety with decocking function, double action and single action trigger and extended beaver tail grip frame strut. Each PPK/S comes in its factory hard case with instruction manual, safety manual, factory registration card, cable lock, adjustment wrenches, and two extra front sight blades.
