Description: Sig Sauer, then Sig Arms, commenced setting new standards of excellence in handguns as early as the 1970s. By now, their innovative double action pistols are traditional classics. In 2004, Sig Arms launched their Revolution series descendants of John M. Browning’s Colt 1911, traditional pistols with excellence and innovation that we expect from the company. Recently, Sig began using the conventional 1911 name. This is Sig’s 1911 XO GSR variant, Sig’s Granite Series Revolution. The new Revolution™ XO from SIG SAUER®, writes the factory, is an all business full-size non-railed 1911 made for those that want a rugged shooting pistol. Outfitted with contrast sights and Ergo Grip™ XT extreme use grips, the Revolution™ XO features SIG’s new durable XO finish designed for rugged use and is available in either XO Black (shown) or XO Stainless. The all stainless steel frame and slide of the XO are machined to exacting tolerances and hand-fitted to insure reliability and performance. The frame features 25-line per inch checkering on the front strap and both the frame and slide are de-horned for comfortable full-size carry. Like all SIG SAUER products the new Revolution™ XO pistols contain only premium internal parts including a match grade barrel, hammer/sear set and trigger. That means no plastic and no MIM parts. For safety the Revolution™ XO features a beavertail grip safety with speed bump, extended thumb safety, firing pin safety and hammer intercept notch and ships in a plastic gun case with cable lock. As far as other specs, manufacturer is Sig Arms of Exeter, NH. Caliber, of course, is .45 ACP, .45 Automatic. Construction is entirely XO finish stainless steel but with serrated face coated alloy trigger with overtravel adjustment; and dovetailed black anodized sights in three white dot configuration. Grip frame is checker serrated fore and aft; extended magazine release and main safety with beavertail grip safety and serrated top skeleton Commander style hammer. Magazine with the photo specimen are factory 8 rounders, polished stainless body with slot style black polymer floor plates and blue steel cartridge followers. Weight is 40.3 ounces empty. The magazines are not stamped, but they came with this pistol and they’re very Mec-Gar looking to us. This pistol comes to us from the collection of our favorite Floridian Motorcycle Cop. It is in its original box with its instruction manual, hang tag, and cable lock. Surface detractions are minimal, principally a faint short slide stop contact streak on the left side of the frame from the slide stop wedge to the trigger recess, and faint slide contact buffing visible on the barrel’s chamber hood. We rate it as Excellent in Box, 90 percent vicinity by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. It is certainly excellent mechanically; bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. Manufacture date is November 2006. This pistol has been fired fewer than 500 times, and our officer friend traded it to us for a 9mm. Similarly equipped Colt Pistols command prices upwards of $1500 apiece in our area. We’re offering the Sig 1911 XO Revolution in the photos, however, for only $ 789.00. Not transferable to civilian residents of Massachusetts. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> $15 lower 48; $40 AK, HI, PR, USPS Priority. 7 day money back on used items, but No Returns on NIB, Lay-away, or Ammo. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
