As we often point out, the line from the children's old bedtime prayer, If I should Die Before I Wake, was a real possibility before World War II in the cities and later in rural areas like ours. And many of the Old Time popular songs and poetry that seem corny to us were dead serious expressions at the time. Here is a relic from that age, at least in the rural South. This is a set of children's crutches that we bought from an estate a few years ago. They are strong and well made, mechanically as good as when they were new. Overall length is 32 inches. They show moderate scouring and scuffing, but 75 percent or so of their original finish appears to be intact by our estimate, and there are no cracks or serious blemishes anywhere. We're offering this somewhat morbid relic set of children's crutches for only $ 99.00.
