This All German Sig-Sauer P-226, 9mm Pistol has served with the Swiss State Police, mostly in a reserve capacity, during its law enforcement career. Its JK code dates its manufacture to 1989, and it comes with a total of two pre-ban serrated backed factory German Sig pre-ban magazines and a period correct orange 226 Box. As far as specs on the 226, classification is traditional double action, double action from the decocked position on the first shot, and then single action on subsequent shots during the firing session. The Sig 226, of course, does not have a manually operated safety. It has a decocker lever to put the car in park. Sig has a firing pin block safety that prevents accidental discharge if the pistol is dropped, yet even with that, Sigs have the best single action trigger pull of all from the factory. This specimen gauges at a crisp 5 pounds with minimal felt creep. Caliber, of course, is standard 9mm. Weight empty is 34 ounces; finish is durable K-Kote; barrel length is 4.40 inches; and it has original Siglite Factory Night sights; from our darkroom inspection, the Night Sights are 70 – 80 percent of their original strength. We believe the Night Sights were added several years after issue, but they are factory and their finish matches. Surface detractions on this 226 are minimal, only faint thin whitening on the upper muzzle area of the slide, and inconspicuous superficial scouring to the top of the slide at places between the chamber and the rear sight. We classify it as Excellent, 90 percent vicinity. Photos, at any rate ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. It is excellent mechanically; bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean and excellent. We estimate this pistol has been fired fewer than 1000 rounds, no rounds at all for a Sig. We are including a period correct Sig instruction manual and California Compliant cable lock. Replacement price on the 226 is over $900 in our area, if a person can even find one. We're offering this one, however, for only $ 659.00 Civilian buyers in areas with 10 round magazine restrictions will receive two new Mec-Gar 10 round magazines instead of the 15 round Magazines: includes California, Chicago, D.C., Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> $10 lower 48; $30 Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico, USPS Priority Mail, insured with Delivery Confirmation.
