We offer you a “Closet Queen” Winchester Transition “Cloverleaf Tang” model 70 rifle that was manufactured in 1946. The caliber in 30-06. This could have a factory drilled and tapped on the rear bridge. There is no way of knowing for sure that I’m aware of. Regardless, the rifle is the nicest Transition model we have seen in a very long time. The metal on this gun is excellent. If I have to rate it, I would say 98% very easily. The rear sight has been removed at some time and a filler blank installed. The serial number on the bolt and receiver are matching. The bottom metal is also in excellent condition as you can see. This gun was in the same family since it was purchased long ago. It wears a Redfield 4X scope that is also in excellent condition. The stock is original with no modifications as is the bolt. There are some minor marks and a ding from use over the years. The bore is like the rest of the gun, excellent! We have tried to show every inch of the gun in the pictures.
