Trigger installed is a 2 stage 4.5lb custom. Then to Robar for refinishing to include NP3 of all internals; NP3 has a lubricity (slick) coating for moving parts, water/salt proof, looks awesome. There is one of these full blown customs in existence today.. this is it! ONE ONLY. The M14/M1A is in use today by your Special Forces predominantly in the M21 sniper/countersniper configuration as a "weapon of choice". Elite Special Forces units including Delta are allowed to "pick" the weapon they wish to utilize for a specific mission so long as they can justify their decision. Numerous operators still request this 7.62mm/.308 platform for it's known ability to incapacitate vs the 5.56/.223. This custom is not cheap; you can build your own for the same price we are selling this unit for but you would need to wait a total of 18 months and ship/receive from three separate vendors. JAE stock cost $1960 selling with the package for $2360, SOCOM II carbines are running $2425 shipped on the market, certificated smith work to inc live fire/function, printing, trigger group, stock install/fit $744, NP3 all w/ refinish $386 total $5915. We will sell without optics for $6400. Why? It took over 18 months!! With optics we will sell for $5900 with the following choices: 1. The best scope in the world today is the Leupold Mark 8 1-8 34mm military edition CQBSS (close quarter battle sniper scope). Again it is in widespread use by your Special Forces and elite operators and MSRP is over $5000 dollars. At 1x it is used as an Aimpoint with a lit reticle for CQB (close quarter battle) yet you can dial up to 8x for your 1000 meter shots. This military version has a .308/7.62mm BDC (ballistic drop compensator) with crosshairs numbered from 100 to 1200 meters; target at 900 meters put the "9" on it etc. There are too many virtues to expound on in this limited space; it is simply the best, period. Package price installed $3955. Requires a custom mount for this set up our cost $355. Total with this optics package $10210. Unit will arrive zeroed for the BDC and ready to pick up and shoot. 2. Option 2 uses the Leupold Mark 6 1-6 CQBMRSS ME with another .308/7.62 BDC reticle. This Close Quarter Battle Medium Range Sniper Scope is similar to the 1-8 but will crank up to 6x power vs the 8x power on option 1. Still use the illuminated reticle for CQB at 1x and dial to 6x for your 900 meter shots. Substantially less at $2275 with the Mark 8 IMS mount again at $355. Total $8530 The M14 M1A platform is probably the most comfortable and ergonomically correct platform in any firearm.
