I have looked very closely at this item and it appears old and original to my untrained eye. The only infromation I could get from the estate was the infromation on the collection tag (see photos). It does come with a very nice glass fronted lockable wood display case. The Colt 38 cal. Lightning SS#155XXX is well used and worn but in very serviciable condition. It still retains a lot of the original blue, has a decent bore and functions mechanically both plastic grips while well worn are not cracked or chiped. Since the only way I have of authenticating this item is my own personal inspection I offer it with a 100% refund if it does not live up to your expectations return it for a full refund.
