Here is a never fired Ruger Single Six that was made in late 1957 to start of 1958. Has a 5 digit serial number starting with 298XX. This Ruger has been in my family from the time pistol was purchased on April 10th 1958 for the total cost of $63.25 plus $1.90 tax. I have the original receipt along with the original box that the pistol came in and it does have the serial number in pencil on the end. The box is in great condition, solid and colorfull for a 52 year old original box. Also comes with the original instruction and parts list manual. This ruger was purchased as a keep sake for my uncle and after his death I was givin the pistol and I have keep it in the box taking it out to clean and oil on a regular basis for the last 40 years. This rare mint condition pistol has no cylinder drag marks or rubbing, has the original rubber checkered grips. The blueing on the barrel and backstrap is just about perfect. The purple or plum color on the cylinder housing looks fantastic and has the flat gate as it should. This Ruger single six has a 5 1/2" barrel and looks like it was just taken out of the box when it was purchased in 1958 along with all the paper work, original box and even the original receipt. Can't ask for much more if you are a collector and want a fantastic Ruger with the extras.
