Here is a specimen of the dressiest Vanguard, chambered in Mr. Roy Weatherby's best re-selling caliber, the .300 Weatherby Magnum. This is a local rifle , VX26000 range serial number, that we estimate was manufactured in the mid to late 1980s. It comes to us from its exclusive owner, a distinguished member of the Tennessee Bar, who no simply is no longer able to hunt. It is the best looking VX Vanguard, with bright blue finish and glossy walnut stock with rosewood tip and white liner. Barrel is 26 inches overall length, including the Umberger’s tamer, early custom muzzle brake. The barrel is original, and measures 23 inches from the chamber mouth to the shoulder of the Tamer brake. Lettering is still sharp throughout, and Mr. Umberger is well known and respected for his work. Surface detractions are minimal on this rifle, only case contact whitening on the bolt handle knob and trigger guard edges, and small scours near the swivel studs and on the edges of the rosewood pistol grip cap. We rate it as Excellent, 95 percent vicinity by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. It is excellent mechanically; bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. From our knowledge of its owner, this rifle has been fired fewer than 100 times. People simply do not fire these all that much for obvious reasons, including cost of ammunition. Scope mount is 700 LA, Leupold blue steel Redfield type. Replacement price on this rifle, still in production, is upwards of $1000 or even more in our area. We're offering this one, however, for only $ 589.00. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> $20 flat fee lower 48 states; $60 Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico, UPS Ground with full insurance coverage.
