Here for your viewing and bidding pleasure is a beautifully kept 410 Gauge Side/Side shotgun made by Crescent Firearms Co of Norwich, Conn for Missippi Valley. This is also listed as the "Quail Hammerless" as it was ideal for the upland shooting of Quail, Snipe and Doves. Very light weight and points like there is no tomorrow--and, for birds? There probably wasn`t a tomorrow! This is a FULL SIDELOCK gun-- like the high grade English pieces and not a boxlock like Stevens etc. I have nothing at all against the Stevens and such but, to me, they are awkward and bulky and don`t feel right in my hands. I cannot see why ANYONE would want to buy a Savage or Stevens 410 boxlock and pay 800.00+ when, for about the same , they can have a TRUE SIDELOCK gun that weighs less and points better. This is just my .02 worth. In 1898 the prestigious firm of Van Lengerke & Antoine said the Crescent made the best shotguns for the price of anyone in the world.!!!I was going to use this for Doves but healt has gotten into the way and my grandson is autistic so there goes any chance of passing it on. The bores are excellent. Used but certainly not abused. No dents or gouges. The chambers are for 2 1/2" I know and possibly the 3" but I never checked as all I shoot is the 2 1/2" hulls anyway. If you intend to use the 3" I would advise you to get it check FIRST! Lockup is very tight and the lever is within 01% of being dead center. Blueing is a nice even patina and the left lock shows about 90% Color. The right lock shows less. I was going to send the locks to Doug Turnbull and ask him to re-color them but never got it done. The wood is fine with no cracks or scratches. These small bore guns have steadily risen in cost over the last 10 years or so and will continue to appreciate. Get this now while the prices are still somewhat decent! If you want more detailed pictures please ask. This is a gun to be proud to carry and use and will be a very nice addition to anyones arsenal. Winning bidder pays 25.00 S/H to his or her FFL in the conus. Alaska and Hawaii please check first. Paypal add .03% for the use of a C.C. The item will be shipped in the "broken-down" state. [Fore-end and buttstock wrapped separately but in the same box] to avoid possible breakage by the goon squads in the mailrooms. Thank you for looking and bidding and Good Luck!

25.00 to buyers FFL conus. Alaska and Hawaii more. Insurance HIGHLY reecommended but extra.
