Serial number on this Winchester model 94AE is 6,529,000 range, estimated manufacture in 2001 or 2002. The Angle Ejects came into play in 1982, and the ones with the tang safety like this one were very briefly produced. Other than those features, Winchester’s attempt to catch up with Marlin for hunting rifle purposes, it is fully traditional, bright blue steel finish and semi-gloss dark stained hardwood stock and forend. This 94 AE comes to us from its original owner, one of the hardest working young men at our local college, its original and exclusive owner. Barrel is 20 inch standard length with hooded front bead-blade sight and buckhorn step-elevator rear sight. Magazine capacity is 6 + 1 rounds of .30-30 Winchester Ammunition. This 94AE is very attractive; and its only surface detractions are minimal, principally scouring on its loading gate from loading and unloading; apart from that, it has only faint amounts of operation whitening to the lever next to the receiver, and to the bolt surface. We rate it as Excellent, since no more than 5 to 10 percent of its surfaces show any wear by our estimate. Photos, at any rate, ought to suffice so that our distinguished shoppers can judge finish grade for themselves. It is Excellent mechanically; bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. The model 94, sadly, was discontinued due to the corporate failure in 2006. Browning now owns the company and brand, but currently produces only special editions that are rather pricey.
