Circa 1911 Parker with exceptional wood and condition. This gun, serial number 155772 is in the Parker Serialization book and is as shipped. Barrels are 28” Titanic Steel, very good bores, 2 9/16” chambers, strong ejectors, 90% thinning blue, no pitts in metal, ribs are sound and barrels ring true, bore diameter .667 right barrel, .663 left barrel, choked SK/F (.004/.030).
Receiver is #1 frame, sharp, clear engraving, nice screws, double trigger, trigger guard nitre blue 99%, action tight on face and hinge pin, lever to the fight of center, excellent trigger pulls, 90% Turnbull case colors that looks very original.
Wood is fantastic figured walnut, original from factory, excellent checkering with proper Parker border, wood to metal fit is perfect, no splits or cracks, 14 1/8” to Hawkins pad, 2 3/8” drop at heel, 1 7/16” drop at comb for great dimensions.
Gun weighs 6lbs. 7oz. and is a delight to the eye and hand. Very modern dimensions rarely found on these old guns. My favorite chokes for upland and sporting clays. Great investment that can be carried afield with pride.
